I’m starting a new chapter as a freelance software developer. I’m new to building a freelance practice, but I’m bringing more than 25 years of software engineering experience to it.
What I’m bringing with me
My background spans enterprise and public-sector systems, databases, application development, and integration. That experience shapes the work I want to take on: useful software that fits into the way a team actually operates.
My core tools include C# and .NET, Vue and TypeScript, SQL Server, and cloud platforms. The goal is to choose an approach that serves the problem and can be maintained over time.
Where I want to help
I’m interested in custom applications, APIs, workflow automation, and modernization. That might mean creating an internal tool, connecting existing systems, or helping an older application move forward.
The projects in this portfolio show my engineering work and personal development efforts. They are a starting point for conversations, rather than a claim of past freelance client engagements.
What I’ll share here
This blog will be a place for practical notes from that journey: decisions behind projects, lessons from working with .NET and modern web applications, and thoughts on using AI tools thoughtfully in development.
